This was the first time I have entered a competition in the professional section. It was not voluntary either, I was asked to do so by the organizer because I am offering pictures for sale. This makes me a professional photographer... As the entry fees in the professional section are higher than for amateurs, I have drawn my conclusions and will no longer take part in this organizer's competitions. I used my last credits to enter two pictures in the Black & White Photo Contest for the last time and received an honorable mention for the picture "Museo de las Ciencias Princep Felip" and another one for the picture "Hemisfèric". As black and white photography is not my core competency and I also entered in the professional section, I am not entirely dissatisfied and I congratulate all the award winners!
reFocus Awards is organized by Creative Resource Collective, LLC. There are three different refocus contests (Color, Black & White and World Photo Annual). The organizer also offers other competition series: 1839 Awards (Color Photography Contest, Black & White Photo Contest, Photographer of the Year) and Exposure One Awards (One Shot Photo Contest, Photographer of the Year and Our World: Mother Nature Photo Contest)
